Lodge Information
Ngatuhoa Lodge is a 40 minute drive from the Tauriko Crossing shopping center from the Lakes in Tauranga. The final 8km is accessed through a locked forestry gate which lodge users are given access to.
The lodge is situated on DOC land and is surrounded by several DOC marked hiking trails boasting beautiful waterfalls, ancient trees and unique wildlife. We do not allow hunting to be conducted from our premises or permit users to bring their dogs with them.
We are entirely “off-grid” and generate our own electricity via a hydro turbine nearby and source all of our drinking water from the Ngatuhoa river. There is also no cellphone coverage in our area.

The lodge has a large kitchen with gas ovens and all the pots & pan’s you’ll need. A lounge & dining room with a large fireplace. Recently renovated bathrooms with a drying room for wet weather. 6 bunk rooms with 47 beds in the lodge, 16 beds in the possum hut & another 17 beds can be placed on the heated floor “Marae style” to make a total maximum capacity of 80 people.

Payment
Upon confirming this booking, you will be required to pay a $350 deposit per night. The deposit is non-refundable within 8 weeks of the booked date
The Lodge is charged at $35 per person, per night for private groups with a minimum nightly charge of $350
Schools are charged $30 per person per night with a minimum nightly charge of $300
Your final invoice total will be based on the numbers that attend your booking. You can record your numbers per night within the lodges kiosk system located within the main building.
Full and final repayment will be required after your lodge visit has concluded. A corrected invoice based on your attendee numbers will be sent to you.
No charge for kids 5 and under.
You will be invoiced for the final owing balance after your stay. Please ensure the check-out process has been completed so we can correct your owing balance.
